Leading Learning Forward TSA is pleased to present a series of FREE CPD seminar and workshop events for school staff during the Spring Term and Summer Term 2016. Each event is presented as a twilight session (except for the LLF Workshop Event  on 3.3.16 - please see information below) usually lasting up to 1.5 hours and is FREE of CHARGE.

  • Becoming a Specialist Leader of Education (28.4.16)

               Becoming a Specialist Leader of Education                      Thursday 28 April 2016 (4.00 to 5.00 pm)

               Venue: St Hugh’s National Teaching School                           Hosted by: Tracy Millard (Headteacher)

This twilight drop-in event, for potential “Specialist Leader of Education” applicants, will provide guidance on completing a successful application to become an SLE in the current application window, which closes on Monday 6 June 2016 at 12 noon. If you are thinking of applying to become an SLE, you can drop-in during the one hour session to ask questions or seek advice regarding the application, assessment and induction process.

No need to book! Just call by any time between 4.00 pm and 5.00 pm to discuss your potential application and to get your questions answered.

 

  • Effective Action Research & Development  (11.5.16)

               Action Research                                  Wednesday 11 May 2016 (4.00 pm to 5.00 pm)

               Venue: St Hugh’s School                       Led by: Tony Luby (Bishop Grosseteste University)

This  seminar event, delivered in an interactive style, which will provide participants with a guided in how to devise an action research project. By the end of the seminar, participants will have devised an outline for a research project and identified their research questions.

  • Effective Assessment & Feedback in Practice (19.5.16)

                Assessment & Feedback                       Thursday 19 May (4.00 pm to 5.00 pm)  

                Venue: St Hugh’s School                           Hosted by: Tracy Millard (Headteacher)

This seminar event, delivered in an interactive workshop style, will explore effective practical approaches to assessment & feedback as well as the    evidence of impact that such approaches can have on maximising learning outcomes.
