Research & Development is one of the BIG 6 themes that drive the work of the TSA. Teaching Schools are part of the Government’s drive to give schools more freedom and take increasing responsibility for managing the schools’ system. Teaching Schools identify and co-ordinate expertise from their alliance, using the best leaders and teachers to undertake research & development.
We are committed to delivering high-quality Research & Development programmes working closely with our schools, strategic HEI partners and associates including Bishop Grosseteste, Hull & York St John Universities, North Lincolnshire Council and North Lincolnshire (NHS) Children’s Therapy Services.
We are leading research & development projects which provide evidence of impact and support significant school improvement.
In the past two years, we have been developing research projects which focus on:
- Mathematics & Numeracy (with a particular focus on Teaching & Leading Primary Mastery Maths)
- Behaviour & Emotional Well-Being (with a particular focus on Well-Being)
- Assessment & Feedback (with a particular focus on sharing strategies which impact positively on learners)
