- Lead peer-to-peer professional and leadership development
- Identify and develop leadership potential
- Provide support for other schools

SGS is an LLF developed seminar programme of bespoke events for Governors in schools, colleges and academies covering current policies, principles and guidance in relation to the role of teaching school alliances and the support available. Seminars are led by experienced headteachers and/or leaders of education in workshop style sessions on one or more occasions. |

NLG is a national application and assessment programme leading to designation and deployment for individuals who are highly effective chairs of governors and who are willing to use their skills and experience to support chairs of governors in other schools and academies. Applications are made directly to NCTL. On appointment, NLG status lasts for two years.
